Vision and Mission

Vision

MARY HELP COLLEGE aspires to fulfil the need in Ethiopian Society for educating communities by providing integral and quality education for young people, especially from the disadvantaged areas, inspired by the spirit and style of Don Bosco and Mary Mazzarello.

Mission

MARY HELP COLLEGE aims to reach out to the needs of the young people, in order to enable them to become responsible people and honest citizens, and to offer their best contributions to the growth of the society and of the Country through their profession.

Core Values

The values of the Salesian spirit and pedagogy, resulting from the Preventive System lived by Don Bosco in the Oratory of Valdocco and by Mary Mazzarello in Mornese, enrich the nature, activity, and style of the Salesian Higher Learning Institution. This implies:

  • a preferential option for young people, especially those coming from the lower social classes;
  • a close relationship among culture, science, technology, education, evangelization, professionalism and integrity of life (reason and religion, good Christians and upright citizens);
  • a community experience based on the presence of academic and administrative staff among and for the students, in the spirit of family;
  • an academic and educative style of relationships founded on love, manifested to and perceived as such by the students (loving kindness).
